Celebrating beauty, hope and life…

I’m so grateful to share inspiring and romantic scenes of New Orleans and the Coastal South, each piece a reflection of the beauty, resilience and hope woven into this regions’ spirit. My work is an invitation to pause and see the world with fresh eyes, to discover joy, renewal and connection in the simple yet meaningful details often overlooked such as blooming magnolias, coastal treasures and the graceful lines of Southern architecture.

With a clean, thoughtful style, I honor both form and elegance, creating art that feels encouraging and intimate. My paintings carry an undercurrent of optimism and joy, meant not only to adorn a space but to uplift it. My art brings a sense of possibility, and a touch of romance into every space, whether it be breezy and coastal, refined or steeped in old-world elegance.

Artistic Process

Much of my inspiration comes from the photographs I take and the sketches I make while walking through my city. Once I decide on a theme, I create a balanced source photo and establish a color palette. I prepare a gallery-wrapped canvas with modeling paste for a smooth base, then draw a detailed graphite sketch to guide the composition. From there, I begin with washes of colorful, transparent acrylics, gradually layering lighter opaque paints to render form and build texture. I often incorporate paint markers, gold accents, and other mixed media elements before moving into the final, expressive stage: oil painting. Transparent oil washes add depth and richness, while thicker strokes bring life, detail, and energy. I truly enjoy every stage of this process and feel deeply fortunate to create art as my profession.
